Musicians: new gig rates

    The Musician's Union (MU) has set new rates for its members, raising minimum industry rates by 3%. This means that, for gigs of up to two hours starting before midnight, the new minimum fee from 1 April 2004 rises to £50, with the minimum payment for gigs of more than two hours and up to three hours rising to £60.
