Netherlands: Advisory council proposes changing dismissal rules

The scientific council for government policy (Wetenschappelijke Raad voor het Regeringsbeleid, WRR) has recommended replacing compensation payments for employees who lose their jobs with an employer's commitment to fund further training.

This, the council maintains, will help the workers concerned find new jobs more quickly.
