New age discrimination legislation
On 1 October 2006, the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 came into force, representing the final stage of transposition of the EU framework equal treatment Directive. The implementation of pension provisions in the Regulations, however, is delayed until 1 December 2006.
