The third and final stage of a three-year pay deal has now come into force at newspaper printing and publishing organisation News International, effective from 1 July 2005. Around 4,100 staff at the company's sites at Wapping (London), Knowsley (Merseyside), Kinning Park (Glasgow) and Peterborough, as well as those working in News Retail Services and London Property News, are covered by the agreement which, in the absence of a union, was negotiated with the News International Staff Association (NISA).
