In the second stage of a two-year deal, Nissan has awarded 4,034 manufacturing and administrative staff a 3% pay increase, effective from 1 January 2006. The rise was agreed to be the higher of 3% or October 2005 retail prices index (RPI) which, in the event, was 2.5%.
