Norway: Preparations for bargaining under way

Spring 2007 will see an "intermediate" pay bargaining round, with negotiations over wage adjustments within the framework of the two-year agreements concluded in last year's "main" bargaining round (EER 390 p.30). On 7 February, all major trade union and employers' organisations were called to a meeting of the government's "contact committee", an informal body for tripartite consultations and exchanges of opinions on future bargaining.
