Norway: Strike hits hospitals
On 18 January 2007, around 450 members of the health section of Akademikerne, the trade union confederation representing staff with a higher education, went on strike at four university hospitals. This followed the breakdown of talks over a new pay agreement between Akademikerne and the NAVO employers' association.
