A pay and conditions deal negotiated between the Papermaking Sector Body of the Confederation of Paper Industries (formerly known as the Paper Federation of Great Britain) and the graphical, print and media section of Amicus, the GMB, and the TGWU, has resulted in industry adult minimum rates being increased by between £5.46 and £11.85 a week, depending on grade and shift pattern. The award, effective from 6 February 2006, represents a 2.9% rise on the 2005 pay levels.
