Poland: Early retirement debate
New early retirement provisions are due to be finalised by January 2008, but the government has still not produced draft legislation and it also seems likely that the social security office (ZUS) will not have installed the necessary IT system to cope with any changes to the system by that date.
Early retirement has been a controversial issue for some years.
