Poland: Job losses and bonus cuts agreed at airline

Management and trade unions at LOT, the financially troubled Polish airline, agreed in October 2009 to reduce planned redundancies from 900 to 400 and to abolish a number of bonuses for employees.

LOT, which is 93% state-owned, has been attempting to cut costs and restructure its operations to address large financial losses.
