Portugal: Social security reform takes effect
Legislation came into force on 27 May 2007 that reforms certain aspects of the social security system, including the rules on calculating pension entitlement and the level of disability benefits.
Decree Law No.187/2007 was approved by the cabinet on 8 March and signed into law by the Portuguese president on 26 April.
