    The latest national wage agreement for the ready-mixed concrete industry raises minimum hourly rates by 30p across all grade rates, effective from 17 February 2004. The settlement means that the basic hourly rate for drivers of dumpers and loading shovels rises by 6.6% to £4.85 an hour, with the same rate applicable to crane drivers. This gives a guaranteed weekly rate, based on 45.5 paid hours, of £220.75.
