Following negotiations with trades unions Amicus and the Transport and General Workers' Union, and the Company Council, Rolls-Royce, Goodwood, the newest car plant in the UK, has awarded its non-management staff a 4.3% pay increase for 12 months from 1 January 2005.
In the first pay negotiations since the trade unions were recognised at Rolls-Royce earlier this year, the deal also includes a package of measures involving nearly one-third of the workforce being guaranteed a move onto the full grade for the job after a maximum of nine months.
