Scottish farm workers: 5.5% rise

    The Scottish Agricultural Wages Board has increased statutory minimum rates of pay for agricultural workers in Scotland by 5.5%, with effect from 1 January 2004. The settlement raises the hourly rate for adult workers aged 19 and over with more than 10 weeks' continuous employment from £4.74 to £5.00 an hour.
