Scottish Prison Service: Award increases paybill by 4.9%

Employees covered (nos.): Main staff group including governors, prison officers, managers and drivers but excluding nursing staff (4,000)

Effective date: 1 October 2005

Following agreement with the Prison Officers Association, Prospect and the Public and Commercial Services union, the Scottish Prison Service has implemented a 12-month pay award, worth 4.9% of the paybill, from 1 October 2005. All individual awards are performance based.
