SME faces first corporate killer test

A small company has become the first organisation to be charged with corporate manslaughter - the offence that was introduced by the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 on 6 April 2008.

The case preliminaries will be heard at Stroud Magistrates’ Court on 17 June, although any full trial will take place in a Crown Court at a later date.
