Social partner response to restructuring and EWCs
The EU-level social partners - ETUC and UNICE -- have responded to the European Commission's communication on restructuring, and the role of European Works Councils (EWCs).
The commission issued its communication in April 2005 (European Union: Consultation on restructuring and EWCs), asking the social partners for their views on managing the phenomenon of restructuring and on the role that EWCs can play in this.
