Spain: 10% workforce cut agreed at SEAT

In early April 2007, management and trade unions at the SEAT car manufacturing company – part of the Germany-based Volkswagen group – agreed a workforce-reduction programme that will cut staff numbers by around 10%. In exchange, the company is committed to producing its new Ibiza sedan model at the Martorell plant in Barcelona.
