Spain: Equality plan agreed at El Corte Inglés
On 21 May 2008, the El Corte Inglés department store group agreed on an innovative gender equality plan with trade unions representing its workforce.
The Law on Equality, which came into force in March 2007, obliges companies with more than 250 employees to enter into negotiations with trade unions on a gender equality plan.
