Spain: Government proposes economic and social agreement
In April 2008, the prime minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, set out his re-elected government’s plans in the labour and employment field, including a tripartite economic and social agreement, aimed at addressing Spain’s economic difficulties.
The socialist government was returned to office after the general election in March.
