Spain: Limited interest in "voluntary return" scheme for migrant workers

The Spanish Government reported in June 2009 that 5,000 people had so far applied for a scheme that entitles unemployed workers from outside the EU to a payment if they decide voluntarily to return to their country of origin.

In November 2008, the Government launched a "voluntary return plan" aimed at unemployed migrant workers.
