Spain: Lorry drivers strike over fuel costs

Spanish lorry drivers went on strike for several days in June 2008 to demand government assistance in meeting rising fuel costs.

On 8 June, around 75,000 (mainly self-employed) lorry drivers went on strike, with support from farmers and fishing industry workers.
