Spain: Minimum wage increases by 3.5%

The Spanish government has increased the national minimum wage by 3.5% from January 2009, to €621 per month.

In December 2008, the government announced that the national minimum wage (salario mínimo interprofesional, SMI) would be increased from €600 to €621 per month from January 2009.
