Spain: New national deal secures pay moderation in 2002

A national pay moderation agreement was signed by trade unions and employers in December 2001. The first such agreement to be concluded for 17 years, it commits the parties to negotiating pay settlements that are in line with forecast inflation and productivity growth in 2002.
