Spain: Pay freeze helps secure new model for Seat
Volkswagen announced in April 2009 that its Spanish subsidiary, Seat, has been awarded production of a new car model, after employees at Seat agreed a two-year pay freeze to help secure the work.
In recent months, the subsidiaries of Volkswagen, the Germany-based automotive multinational, have been competing to produce a new small sports-utility vehicle, the Audi Q3.
