Spain: Re-elected government highlights employment issues

The ruling PSOE socialist party was returned to office in the general election held on 9 March 2008 and its second-term plans include measures to boost employment and gender equality.

The PSOE won 169 of the seats in the 350-member lower house of parliament, an increase of four seats on its result in the last general election in 2004.
