Spain: Regulating subcontracting in construction

Legislation regulating the use of subcontracting in the construction sector is coming into force during 2007, having been passed in October 2006. Construction is currently a buoyant industry in economic and job-creation terms, and in 2005 had a workforce of more than 2.5 million, or 14% of all employment in Spain.
