Spain: Unemployed migrant workers offered payments to return home
On 19 September 2008, the government approved a decree-law that entitles unemployed migrant workers from outside the EU to a payment if they decide to return to their country of origin.
Unemployment is rising rapidly in Spain as the economic downturn deepens.
