UK: National minimum wage increased by 3.2%

The government has announced an increase in the national minimum wage from 1 October 2007, accepting the recommendation of the independent Low Pay Commission.

The adult rate (for workers aged 22 and over) will rise by 3.2%, from £5.35 to £5.52 an hour.
