    Employees at Western Mail & Echo Ltd - which publishes a range of titles including The Western Mail, South Wales Echo and Wales on Sunday - have been awarded a pay rise that increases basic rates by 2.7%, effective from 1 March 2004.

    In addition to this, a new minimum hourly rate for the lowest-paid staff has been established. It is set at £5 an hour.
