Yorkshire hauliers: up to 5.5% rise

Road haulage workers in the South Yorkshire area will benefit from pay increases of up to 5.5% as a result of the latest sector agreement. The South Yorkshire Hauliers' Assenting Group, the United Road Transport Workers Union and the Transport and General Workers Union have reached an agreement covering around 3,000 drivers and other workers, with effect from 27 March 2005.
