Respond to a request from a mobilised member of the reserve forces to be reinstated
Key points
Members of the reserve forces who have been mobilised have the right to be reinstated in their former job within six months of demobilisation, on terms and conditions no less favourable than those that would have applied had they not been absent.
Different rules apply if it is not reasonable and practicable for the employer to reinstate the reservist into the same job.
To exercise the right, the reservist must write to the employer within a specified timescale.
