Improved suite of training guides on handling discipline
We have published an updated series of training guides on employee discipline to help line managers in your organisation effectively handle any misconduct issues.
The guides have accompanying PowerPoint presentations and quizzes to facilitate interactive training sessions.
- Misconduct: designed as an introductory session, covering the meaning of misconduct, gross misconduct and summary dismissal, and how to promote appropriate standards of behaviour to help prevent formal misconduct issues.
- Conducting a disciplinary investigation: covers how to conduct a fair, unbiased, thorough and timely disciplinary investigation in situations where an employee is accused of misconduct serious enough to warrant disciplinary action.
- Conducting a disciplinary meeting: explores how to conduct formal disciplinary meetings (including remote hearings) in a fair and reasonable way. Also contains guidance on the use of disciplinary sanctions, including warnings, and employees' right of appeal.
We have 55 training guides for line managers on the HR & Compliance Centre covering topics from personal workplace relationships to TUPE transfers. For details, access our full list of training guides.
