Edmonds v Lawson QC and others [2000] IRLR 391 CA (0 other reports)
In Lawson and others v Edmonds 10.3.00 Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal holds that, although a pupil barrister did make a legally binding contract with the members of the chambers where she was a pupil, she did not enter into, or work under, a contract of apprenticeship or an equivalent contract. Further, by the contract that she made, she did not undertake to do or perform any work or services for any member of the chambers; and the beneficiary of any work she undertook for them on an ad hoc basis was a client of hers.
