Real living wage increases take effect
Implementation date: 22 September 2022
The real living wage rate, the voluntary wage rate set by the Living Wage Foundation, applies to staff working for accredited living wage employers.
The real living wage rate is usually announced in November each year, but the Living Wage Foundation decided to bring forward the announcement of the 2022/2023 real living wage to September 2022 in response to the unprecedented rise in living costs faced by workers.
From 22 September 2022, the rate for workers in London rises to £11.95 per hour and the rate for workers in the rest of the UK rises to £10.90 per hour.
