Statutory redundancy pay and employment tribunal award limits increase

Implementation date: 6 April 2026

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2026 (SI 2026/310) increases the limits applying to various tribunal awards and other amounts payable under employment legislation, including the maximum amount of a week's pay for the purpose of calculating a redundancy payment and compensation for unfair dismissal, which increases to £751; and the maximum amount of the compensatory award for unfair dismissal, which increases to £123,543.

The Order applies where the event that gives rise to the entitlement to the payment occurs on or after 6 April 2026.
