When to use this model neonatal care leave letter
Use this model letter to remind a mother who is due to return from maternity leave of their entitlement to neonatal care leave. This letter is intended for use where the child was born on or after 6 April 2025, the child started receiving neonatal care within the first 28 days of their life (starting from the day after they were born) and the mother remained on maternity leave for the entire period during which the child received neonatal care.
