Podcast: Discrimination in recruitment

On this week's XpertHR Weekly, we discuss two employment tribunal cases in which the employers faced direct discrimination claims from unsuccessful job applicants. Despite there being no direct evidence of discrimination in either case, the differences in the recruitment processes operated by the respective employers meant that the employer in Mehenni v Circle Anglia Ltd ET/3202102/2012 was able to defend the claim successfully whereas the employer in Bowden v XC Trains Ltd ET/2505497/2012 was unable to do so.
