Countries in the European Economic Area
The European Economic Area (EEA) includes the EU member states and three of the four states of the European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein). Swiss citizens have the same free movement rights as EEA nationals. Citizens of countries in the EEA are entitled to enter and work freely in all other EEA nations. The countries in the EEA are listed below. The UK left the EU, and the EEA, on 31 January 2020 and the Brexit transition period ended on 31 December 2020.
