Webinar: Managing mental health in the workplace
Promoting mental wellbeing at work is crucial not only to the health of your workforce, but ultimately the success of your business. A lack of support and understanding around mental health can lead to increased sickness absence, raised staff turnover and a loss of productivity. Claims for discrimination and a failure to make reasonable adjustments, which can arise at any stage of the employment relationship from recruitment to termination, may also follow.
It is important to have the strategies, tools and initiatives in place to promote good mental wellbeing at work. Embedding these within your organisation will set you apart as an employer of choice.
In this webinar, Dr Barbara Mariposa (pictured, left), a medical doctor with a background in psychiatry and public health, will share her knowledge and experience of how you can prevent mental health problems developing in the workplace. She will be joined by Liz Stevens (pictured, right), professional support lawyer at Birketts LLP, who will take you through the support you need to provide for those with a mental health condition, including obligations under the Equality Act 2010 relating to reasonable adjustments and discrimination.
