Work experience - line manager training

Introduction

This training examines the subject of work experience, including how to prepare for the arrival of a work experience student and how to conduct the placement so that the student and organisation benefit from the experience.

It covers work experience for students who are in their final two years of compulsory schooling or in further education (for example those in sixth-form college studying for their A levels) undertaking short placements of one or two weeks. Organisations may organise placements for younger students, students in higher education or those not studying, but different guidance may apply.
